OneMoreMark is a Chrome browser extension that turns the new tab page into a visual bookmark dashboard. It helps users save, organize, search, import, export, and sync their web bookmarks.

We care about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information OneMoreMark may process when you use the browser extension, cloud sync, category sharing, and related website services, why that information is processed, and how you can manage your data.

Information We Process ​

OneMoreMark mainly processes information related to the bookmarks you choose to save and manage, including:

  • Website titles, URLs, favicons, categories, and ordering information for bookmarks you save.
  • Category names, category order, and sharing status that you create or edit.
  • Extension preferences, such as theme, language, and sidebar layout settings.
  • Technical metadata generated for sync and conflict handling, such as device identifiers, data revisions, and update timestamps.
  • When you use cloud sync or category sharing, the email address, login token, synced data, shared content, and share message that you choose to provide.

OneMoreMark does not read your full browsing history, does not record what you type on webpages, and does not collect every website you visit. The extension only processes the information needed to complete actions you initiate, such as saving the current page, saving tabs from the current window, importing a bookmark file, syncing data, or sharing a category.

How Browser Permissions Are Used ​

To provide its core features, OneMoreMark requests the following Chrome permissions:

  • storage: Used to store your bookmarks, categories, interface settings, sync status, and login session in the browser.
  • tabs: Used to read the titles and URLs of tabs in the current window so you can save the current tab or the current window's tabs.
  • activeTab: Used to access the active tab after you click the extension button, making it possible to quickly save the current page.
  • favicon: Used to retrieve and display website icons, so bookmark cards are easier to recognize.
  • Host permissions: Used to load recommended configuration, access the OneMoreMark cloud sync API, access sharing-related services, and support development debugging.

These permissions are used only for bookmark management, sync, and sharing features. They are not used for advertising tracking or user profiling unrelated to OneMoreMark.

Local Storage ​

By default, your bookmarks and categories are stored locally in Chrome browser storage. You can use the main features of OneMoreMark without creating an account or signing in.

Locally stored data may include bookmarks, categories, favicons, display preferences, update timestamps, and a device identifier. Clearing extension data, uninstalling the extension, or resetting browser settings may delete this local data. To back up or migrate your bookmarks, you can use the export feature to save your collection as a bookmark HTML file.

Cloud Sync ​

If you choose to use cloud sync, OneMoreMark uploads your bookmarks, categories, and related sync metadata to the OneMoreMark cloud service so your data can be synchronized across devices.

When cloud sync is used, we may process:

  • Your email address, used to send verification codes and identify your sync account.
  • A login token, used to keep you signed in and authorize sync requests.
  • Your synced bookmarks, categories, order, theme and language settings, and related data.
  • Data revisions, update timestamps, and data size, used to compare local and cloud data and determine sync status.

Cloud sync is optional. If you do not sign in or sync, the core local bookmark management features of OneMoreMark remain available.

Category Sharing ​

If you choose to enable category sharing, OneMoreMark uploads the selected category content to the cloud service and generates a shareable link.

Shared content may include the website titles, URLs, favicons, order, and share message for that category. Anyone with the share link may be able to view the shared content. Please do not share categories that contain private account entrances, internal systems, sensitive resources, or URLs you do not want to make publicly accessible.

You can cancel sharing in OneMoreMark. After cancellation, the share status will be updated so the shared page is no longer intended to remain publicly accessible. However, OneMoreMark cannot control content that others may have already saved, copied, or captured.

Import And Export ​

OneMoreMark supports importing Chrome bookmark HTML files and exporting your current collection as a bookmark HTML file.

Imported files are parsed in your browser to create categories and bookmarks inside OneMoreMark. Exported files are saved to your device and are managed by you. Please keep exported bookmark files secure, as they may contain private URLs or work-related links.

Third-Party Services ​

OneMoreMark may connect to the following types of services:

  • Chrome browser and the Chrome extension platform, for installation, extension runtime, permission management, and local storage.
  • OneMoreMark cloud services, for email verification login, cloud sync, and category sharing.
  • Favicon or recommended configuration resources, for displaying bookmark icons or initializing recommended content.

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not provide your bookmark data to advertising networks for cross-site tracking, ad targeting, or user profiling.

Data Retention And Deletion ​

You can manage or delete your data in the following ways:

  • Delete bookmarks or categories, or cancel category sharing in OneMoreMark.
  • Clear extension data or uninstall OneMoreMark from your browser's extension settings.
  • Back up your data with the export feature, then delete local or cloud data you no longer need.
  • To request deletion of cloud sync account data, contact us using the information at the end of this policy.

Some logs or backup data may be retained for a limited period to support service operation, security review, troubleshooting, or legal compliance. We aim to minimize both the retention period and the amount of retained data where reasonably possible.

Data Security ​

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as using authorization tokens for cloud API access, limiting sync API access, and avoiding collection of information unrelated to product functionality.

However, no method of internet transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid storing passwords, verification codes, government ID numbers, payment card information, private tokens, or other highly sensitive information in bookmark titles, category names, or share messages.

Children's Privacy ​

OneMoreMark is intended for general browser users and is not specifically designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without parental or guardian consent, please contact us and we will handle the request as soon as reasonably possible.

Policy Updates ​

We may update this Privacy Policy as product features, service methods, legal requirements, or Chrome Web Store policies change. The updated policy will be published on the OneMoreMark website or related pages with a new effective date.

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will try to provide notice in a reasonable way. By continuing to use OneMoreMark, you acknowledge the updated policy.
